Mental Health Awareness Calender
Throughout the year, important awareness days and months provide opportunities to educate, advocate, and start meaningful conversations about mental health and well-being.
At Build & Restore, we use these moments to raise awareness, reduce stigma, share resources, and encourage individuals to seek support when needed.
That is a reminder we are here to walk with you.
You are not alone.

You Never Know What Someone Is Carrying
When "I'm Fine" Isn't the Whole Story
Someone can smile, show up to work, laugh with friends, and still be struggling deeply inside. Sometimes the signs are subtle, withdrawal, hopelessness, sudden changes in behavior, or feeling like a burden.
Pay attention
A simple check-in can open the door to a conversation that matters.
Take Their Pain Seriously
When someone says they feel hopeless or that life is too much, listen without judgment. Don't dismiss their feelings or tell them to simply "be strong."
You don't need to have the perfect words. Sometimes, being present is the first form of support.
It's Okay to Ask
If you're worried about someone, ask directly and compassionately if they are thinking about suicide. Starting the conversation does not create suicidal thoughts—it can give someone permission to finally speak about what they're experiencing.
Help Is Not a Last Resort
You don't have to wait for a crisis before seeking support. Counselling can provide a safe space to talk, understand what you're going through, and find healthier ways to cope.
Reaching out is not weakness
It is an act of courage.
This Suicide Awareness Month, Build & Restore reminds you: you don't have to carry it alone.
If you or someone you love is struggling, reach out. We're here to walk with you.
